NIKKI MARTIN

Nikki is currently in her first year of post-graduate study under the tuition of renowned Soprano Deborah Rees, at the Royal Northern College of Music. Here, she has won the Alexander Young competition, which involved competing against her peers across two different age groups. Aside from this, she is also a member of the RNCM Songsters, which is an elite group of singers that perform regularly, specialising in song repertoire. Nikki has also been involved with the RNCM’s opera productions including; Rossini’s ‘La Cambiale di Matrimonio’, Massenet’s ‘Cendrillon’, Puccini’s ‘Suor Angelica’ and ‘La Vie Parisienne’ by Offenbach.

Nikki has performed in many different performance venues, including the prestigious Worcester Cathedral where she has been the soprano soloist in Schubert’s ‘Mass in C’, Haydn’s ‘Nelson Mass’ and Mozart’s ‘Coronation Mass’. Nikki has also had experience internationally. In January 2019, she was asked to perform at the Arctic Spas seminar in Hawaii as she had previously performed at their international gala in Droitwich Spa. In 2016, Nikki travelled to Da Nang, Vietnam, to perform for JGC Line’s annual conference.

This summer, Nikki toured with the National Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company performing all over the United Kingdom. As well as performing in four different Gilbert and Sullivan productions, she was also asked to perform in their post-performance cabarets. This incredible opportunity helped Nikki to meet new people, explore new places and perform new music.
