DANIELLA SICARI

Daniella is an Australian/British soprano who completed her postgraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Mary Plazas. She previously trained at The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with Patricia Price.

Whilst at RNCM, Daniella performed the roles of Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), Lady Ellington (La Vie Parisienne), La Fée (Cindrillon) and Gretel (Hansel & Gretel). She was the recipient of numerous awards such as The Joyce & Michael Kennedy Strauss Prize, The Elizabeth Harwood Prize and Robin Kay Memorial Prize.

Since graduating, Daniella has performed with Bergen Nasjonale Opera Chorus, Clonter Opera (Various projects) and the Buxton International Festival. She has been involved with many outreach projects such as the Clonter School Workshops (2018) and Buxton’s side-by-side opera project (2019) with schools from Derbyshire.

In 2019, Daniella returned to Clonter for ‘Songs from the Shows’ (2019). These are relaxed performances which offer those with disabilities, elderly who are being cared for, and their carers, a concert to attend together during the day.

Daniella also has a love for jazz and show tunes. In 2016 she began to sing with a trad jazz band called ‘The Easy Rollers’. They perform songs from the jazz age, encompassing the broadway boom and right up until the end of the swing era.

Last year Daniella volunteered at her first Sound Up concert at the Stoller Hall. She is delighted to now be joining the Sound Up Artist Associates.
