MEET THE ARTISTS
As an enthusiast for the healing powers of music, Eleanor has assisted music therapists at SEN schools and the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. In her roles as Director of Children’s Voices for Olympias Music Foundation and Director of Recovery Choir, a community choir that brings together people from across Manchester who share a common illness, she uses singing as a tool to inspire confidence, creativity and communication.
Eleanor studied as a Soprano at the Royal Northern College of Music, where she performed as a chorus member for their productions of Cendrillon (Massenet) and Hansel and Gretel (Humperdink), and Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Clorinda (La Cenerentola) for
their Opera Scenes.
Eleanor enjoys sharing intimate song repertoire; she performed as a member of the RNCM’s Songsters, and in 2020 was awarded the RNCM’s Bessie Cronshaw Song Cycle Prize.
In addition to her love for Classical music, Eleanor performed as a soloist for the RNCM Jazz Collective. She enjoys singing and playing the piano to explore familiar and forgotten favourites from the 30s and 40s.
Uniting all her passions, Eleanor hopes to pursue a career in Music Therapy, to offer music to support individuals and communities in need.
