The ‘Corrans’ feel very lucky to be SoundUp Artists. As a thank you, they have put together this little informal concert featuring many popular classics. In order, you will hear Bach’s Air on G String, Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus, Handel’s Queen of Sheba, Frank’s Panis Angelicus, Gounod’s Ave Maria and to close, Meditation from Thais by Massenet. They chose the repertoire as all the pieces are held very dearly to their hearts. For example, The Meditation by Massenet was one of Kirsty’s Grandfathers favourite pieces and growing up as a young girl she always dreamt of one day being able to play it to him. Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus reminds them of peaceful and reflective moments of calm which they hope to convey to all the listeners amidst these challenging times.
